Handmade washbasins

About

Timeless elegance meets centuries-old craftsmanship: Pierreo washbasins combine modern Berlin design with traditional stonemasonry. In a region renowned for generations for its masterful craftsmanship in natural stone, unique pieces with clean, geometric shapes are created through precise handcrafting. The result: a high-quality, durable product that brings style and lasting quality to any bathroom.

Natural Stone

Every piece of natural stone tells its own story – shaped over thousands of years, characterised by unique textures and colours. Our selection of fine stones combines natural beauty with the highest quality and durability.

GOLD LINE BEIGE

Gold Line Beige is an elegant limestone with a warm, beige undertone and delicate golden lines that give it a refined and natural look. The subtly shimmering fossil inclusions tell the story of an ancient rock and make every surface unique. Thanks to its soft colour palette, this stone blends harmoniously into a variety of design concepts – from classic to modern.

GUANGXI NERO

Guanxi Nero is a black marble very similar to Negro/Nero Marquina. It comes from the southern Chinese province of Guangxi which is a popular tourist destination thanks to its karst landscape. Its elegant surface blends seamlessly into luxurious settings. Whether used in a tone-on-tone scheme or contrasted with white materials, it is a standout feature in modern bathroom design.

GUANGXI WHITE

Guangxi White is a white marble with a subtle grey pattern. The stone polishes very well, resulting in a water-resistant surface that is easy to clean. It is quarried in the Guangxi Autonomous Region in southern China which borders Vietnam.

DARK PADANG

The colour of Dark Padang hints at its origins in the depths of the earth in Fujian Province in south-east China. This so-called plutonic rock is magma that has cooled extremely slowly beneath the earth’s surface. It is often mistaken for granite and not just because of its appearance; it is similarly robust and weather-resistant, making it suitable for outdoor use.

Design Sketches

The first step in the design process is the challenge of creating a diverse yet coherent series of designs. These sketches were used to explore various options, which were later presented to others. For this reason, only some of the sketches can be seen in the finished washbasins.

Polyurethane foam models

During the testing phase, these prototype models were made from polyurethane foam in order to assess both the design itself and the fit of the individual components.

Finale washbasin made of their respective natural stone

The finished natural stone washbasins are also shown here in comparison with a wooden prototype and various fittings. The last two pictures show a clear comparison between a sketch and the finished washbasin.
