Eco-friendly air conditioning - ACS 05
SorTech AG, which grew from start-up to a market leader in ecological air conditioning systems, developed a process that uses natural heat instead of electricity for cost-effective and environmentally friendly cooling. Lippert Studios' task was to develop marketable products based on this process. The ACS 05 product design resulted in a well rounded concept for a compact system that is ideal for both single family homes and commercial applications. SorTech AG is now a leading manufacturer of absorption refrigeration systems, with a reliable and future-oriented perspective.

Design Process

Goal
We turned laboratory set ups into market ready products. This included a compact frame design, easy to install housing construction, and an intuitive operating concept

Sketches and Concepts
The shape is defined in detail using sketches, and initial ergonomic and functional tests are carried out.

Design for manufacturing
The shapes are subsequently drawn in 3D modeling software. Further design, functional, and manufacturing issues are clarified using the CAD models.

Visualization
Photorealistic renderings of the geometries with real materials are used to create the most realistic impression possible.

The market launch
Once the ACS 05 had been developed and produced, the next step was to present the product to customers in a way that was understandable and appealing. For this, we designed accompanying communication materials such as flyers and brochures that SorTech could use directly in its customer communications.
