Eco-friendly air conditioning system - ACS 05
SorTech AG, which has grown from a start-up to a market leader in eco-friendly air conditioning systems, has developed a process that uses heat instead of electricity to generate cooling in a cost-effective and environmentally friendly way. Our task was to develop marketable products based on this technology. The ACS 05 product design resulted in a well-thought-out concept for a compact system that is ideally suited for both detached houses and commercial premises. SorTech AG is now a leading manufacturer of absorption refrigeration systems and is therefore a reliable and forward-looking company.

Design Process

Goal
We have turned our laboratory prototypes into market-ready products. These included a compact frame design, an easy-to-assemble housing and an intuitive operating concept

Sketches and Concepts
The shape is defined in more detail using sketches, and initial ergonomic and functional tests are carried out

Design for manufacturing
The designs are imported into 3D modelling software. Further design, functional and manufacturing issues are resolved using the CAD 3D models.

Visualization
Photorealistic renderings of the geometries using real materials are used to give as realistic an impression as possible.

The market launch
Once the ACS 05 had been developed and manufactured, the next step was to present the product to customers in a way that was clear and appealing. To this end, we designed supporting marketing materials such as leaflets and brochures, which SorTech could use directly in its customer communications.
