betula veneer

It is well known that new materials have a hard time making it onto the market. The customer benefits must be recognized and presented clearly. The challenge for us was therefore to discover new applications for betula veneer surface material and then present them in a clear and appealing way at interzum 2019 trade fair.

Inspires dreams of new possibilities in interior design.

The material: birch veneer

The result was a trade fair installation that clearly referenced the sanitary sector without limiting the imagination of viewers. The trade fair audience showed great interest, not least because the object inspired dreams of many new possibilities in interior design. The installation was created from start to finish at Lippert Studios, from the initial design and model construction to the finished trade fair structure.

Trade Fair Appearance

The raw material used to make betula veneer consists mainly of Russian birch bark, which is a renewable resource. It is also antibacterial and has an extremely pleasant feel. We first conducted material studies and worked out possible application scenarios.
